Wie immer ein toller Blend von dir. Stimmte es wirklich, das du gar keine mehr machen willst? das wär echt total schad :((( Ich mag deine echt am liebsten, auch wenn ich die 100%Lösung noch nicht gefunden habe

Das einzige was mir aber nie passt ist der S3 der ist immer irgendwie ein bissl zu ‘blass/farblos’.. obwohl er natürlich dunkel ist (mir fast zu dunkel meist) sieht er immer so aus, wie wenn ihm ein bissl farbe fehlt, schaut irgendwie fahl und ungsund aus..

Wenn du jetzt echt keine blends mehr machst, hach, dann krieg ich nie meinen perfekten s3..

Ja, ich weiß, was Du meinst. Ich bin selber nie mit den dunkleren Tönen zufrieden, weil die mir immer entweder zu gelb oder zu grau sind. Aber ich arbeite weiter daran, und irgendwann kriege ich das hoffentlich auch noch hin, dass ALLE Farben eines Sets gut und realistisch aussehen!

Really wonderful! Very nicely done…

I’m just thinking there’s a lot of room between the .30 and .60 skins. A nice spot to add yet another blend at .45 In set 2 that would not be a problem at all.

Yes, I totally agree. I should have made seven colors from the beginning, not six. There’s always a big spot somewhere because six colors fill only two of the three gaps between the four default colors. The next set will have seven colors for sure …

Ich bin fragen, das Defaults?
I’m gonna have to revert to English hehe.
I really like the look of these skins, but I was wondering, because the defaults aren’t quite to my taste (I’m very picky) if you could maybe make a third set in which the S2 in the second set is the S3, but other than that the set is the same as the first?
Sorry, but I love these, and I rarely use anything other than defaults.

Hi Em!

First of all, thanks for your comment! Am I understanding you correctly that you would like the following colors in one set:

S1 = 01 pale
S2 = 02 light
S3 = 03 medium
S4 = 04 dark

If this is correct, wouldn’t you mind the huge gap between S3 and S4 at all? I can put this onto my todo list, if you like - I just can’t make any promises when I’m getting it done, ok?

Hi Selzi,

I’m currently using set 2, as does a friend of mine. I haven’t encountered the following problem in my own game yet, but my friend has. And it’s like this:

He made a married couple in CAS, both of pale complexion. He let them procreate in-game, and then when the female had to give birth, the game froze and crashed.

Knowing this kind of trouble from somewhere else, I had him remove the 1.5 and 3.5 skins and restart the game. Now there was no crash, the baby was born normally…

Putting back both files and retrying, resulted in a crash again…

Is there something special we need to do when installing these skins? Or is it possible you made a mistake somewhere?

Argh, I think I know what I did wrong there. There was a similar problem with the genetic versions - that’s why I reuploaded those several weeks ago. I guess that I made the same mistake with the genetic skins that are included in both default sets.

Thank you very much for letting me know - I’ll fix this right away and reupload the sets. And I’m really sorry that my mistake made your friend’s game crash - I hate when this happens, and I know how frustrating it is!

Entschuldige wenn es dumm ist was ich hier sage, aber hast Du mal versucht ein kleines bissl Rot dazu hinzufügen? Es ist sowieso immer schwer, Hautfarben realistisch aussehen zu lassen. Ein bissl Rot kann aber vielleicht helfen.

Nein, das ist überhaupt nicht dumm. Bei den Farben 04 und 05 hätte etwas rot sicher nicht geschadet. Mein Problem ist, dass die Farben in Body Shop immer etwas anders aussehen als später im Spiel. Ich habe einmal einen in Body Shop sehr schönen dunklen Hautton hinbekommen, der später im CAS aussah, als wäre der Sim ein Brathähnchen. Eigentlich müsste ich nach jedem Versuch den Skin importieren und im Spiel überprüfen, aber dazu bin ich meistens auch zu faul …

It’s so….. DARK… I hope you’ll consider making a 7 skins blend once with skin 4 (or .90) this dark, if you don’t mind. I would be overjoyed!!!

I love Oepu’s skins in general, but I’m not too fond of her darkest skins. They are too greyish in game for my taste. But I’ll keep in mind to go as dark as possible next time! If anyone feels like making darker recolors themselves I’ll be happy to send them the original textures of the skins (to avoid pixelation) - just let me know then!

I think the greyish look comes from some freaky aspect of the Maxis lighting technique. Sims with really black hair often also look like they’re grey before their time.

I don’t know if I’ve ever commented on your site but I love all your skintone sets and also I’ve downloaded many sims from your site.

I’ve been hunting high and low for your policy but I haven’t found it on this site. Anyway, I made an edit of the skinset you made for Zenobia’s Forum 2nd Anniversary (I blended a different face to it to match my previous defaults). I made them for my own game only but now I’m collecting all the stuff I’ve made over the years and will open a small site for all my creations. I’d like to offer the skinset for download somewhere but I don’t know if this is ok with you? I completely understand if you don’t want me to upload them and that’s fine as long as I can use them for my own game. I would naturally give you (and the other creators) full credit for the skins.

You’re right, I never mentioned anything about my policy here. It’s very simple, though - do what you like with my stuff, except reuploading it to paysites and claiming that you made it. That’s about everyone else’s policy as well, so I didn’t think it was necessary to specify this somewhere …

Selzi, jetzt hab ich endlich genetisierte Defaults von dir gefunden, es ist ja dann so, dass, wenn Babsi Braun mit der hellsten Hautfarbe (wenn sie dann diesen Default bekommt) mit Hugo Traumtänzer ein Kind bekommen würde, dieses dann alle Hautfarben von S1 bis S4 bekommen könnte, da die Skins ja genetisiert sind, oder? Diese überschreiben dann im Erstellmodus die Maxis-Skins und auch meine eigens erstellten bekommen sie, die Maxis Häute existieren im Create a sim modus nicht mehr, liege ich soweit richtig?

Außerdem:
- Inseminator, da muss man sich nicht anmelden, da gibt es ja auch tolle Augen von Enayla, ich habe mir nämlich jetzt überlegt eines deiner Sets als Default zu nutzen und diese:

Genau, wenn du die genetisierten Hauttöne im Downloads-Ordner hast, werden die Kinder alle sechs Hautfarben bekommen können.

Augenfarben findest du im Erstellmodus noch vor den normalen fünf Augenfarben. Um zu den Default-Farben zu kommen, musst du erst mal alle Download-Augen durchblättern, und ganz am Ende kommen die dann.

Skintones für Vampire sind nie genetisch, genau wie die für Aliens und Zombies. Zombies können ja eh keine Kinder kriegen, daher wäre das für die auch etwas sinnlos. Schau mal bei Genensims, ob da nicht ein paar genetische Skins dabei sind, die dir gefallen! Wegen den Defaults würde ich bei Mod the Sims mal schauen, die haben einfach die größte Auswahl. Klar muss man sich dafür anmelden, aber für diese Menge an tollen Downloads, die alle nichts kosten, lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall!

- Da mir die obrigen Aliendefaults mit den schwarzen Augen sehr gut gefallen, wollte ich fragen woher die Augen sind (die schwarzen, weil die einfach zu einem Alien gehören, aber die von Maxis sind nicht so passend sind)
Oh, das weiß ich gar nicht, weil die Bilder von Gwen gemacht wurden und ich nicht weiß, welche Alienaugen sie benutzt. Es könnten vielleicht diese hier von Astiees sein - allerdings sind das bei dem Download keine Defaults, sondern normale Download-Augen!
